Questions

Good to know

How far is Merzouga from Fes?

About 470 km. With photo stops in Ifrane, the cedar forest and the Ziz Valley, the drive takes 7 to 8 hours, and you arrive in time for a sunset camel trek into the dunes.

Should I go back to Fes or finish in Marrakech?

Go back to Fes if your flight or onward travel leaves from Fes: you get two nights in the desert. Finish in Marrakech if you are continuing south: you see the Todra Gorge, the Dades Valley and Aït Benhaddou on the way, with no backtracking.

Is a 2-day desert tour from Fes possible?

It is possible, but you would spend most of the time in the car. We recommend at least 3 days so you have time in the dunes. If you only have 2 days, message us and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Can you pick us up from our riad in the Fes medina?

Yes. Cars cannot enter the old medina, so your driver meets you at the closest point to your riad that a car can reach, usually one of the medina gates.

What is the best time for a desert tour from Fes?

Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most comfortable. Winter days are sunny but desert nights are cold, and summer afternoons in the Sahara are very hot.

How do I pay?

Sending a request is free. We confirm availability and your final price on WhatsApp or by email, then you confirm with a secure PayPal deposit and pay the rest on arrival.
